From the Autumn Issue: Fleur de Sel

Fleur de Sel Handmade Varieties - Citrus, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate and Herb

Fleur de Sel Handmade Varieties - Citrus, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate and Herb

One of my favorite features in the autumn issue of Rose & Ivy Journal is the spotlight on fleur de sel.  I discovered this variety in depth while honeymooning in Provence.  The open-air market in Arles was not only over-flowing with produce and bundles of lavender, but also trays of salt.  The salts were carefully arranged in wooden trays and came in many interesting flavors. While Rose & Ivy was conceptualized after our honeymoon, I knew that I had to be included it in the first issue.  For the Journal I wanted to infuse the fleur de sel with interesting ingredients like vanilla bean, cocoa and lemon. You can find all of the recipes here!
