Idea to Try | Pressed Flowers

The first official day of spring is almost here and I cannot seem to think about anything but flowers! The flowers are blooming here and it just makes me happy, however, there seems to be snow in the forecast. I hope to be able to capture the magnolias in bloom before they are covered with snow (although that might be a great shot).  Sometimes when the beauty of flowers fade, I like to keep them because I still find them beautiful.  I recently came across this idea on Pinterest of pressing flowers with tape to create a work of art. Growing up, we used to press the autumn leaves in wax paper using an iron, but there is something more natural about this approach.
