From the Journal | Country Serenade
I am always immensely proud of each issue of ROSE & IVY, but this one I was even more so because every photograph, besides the book review, was taken by myself. I ventured into new territory by shooting the editorial, something that ended up making me so incredibly happy I could have screamed! Shot on location in a beautiful Georgian-style home that overlooked the Hudson River in Upstate New York, it was the perfect location for the mood that I wanted to create. The light was magical that day. Picking the best photographs was a hard thing to do, because unlike blogging where you might have different iterations of the same shot, for the magazine I only want one. Here are some of my favorites that didn't make it into the feature, 'Country Serenade' starring Larissa Simpson.
