A Note on Condition
Each object discovered will detail the condition it was found. Here is a guide to what we mean when we describe the condition of each.
Excellent
Good as new! This means there are no scratches, marks, or slight imperfections.
Good
The object looks good overall, but there might be a few imperfections, like a scratch.
Consistent with Age and Use
This is our favorite category, since an object from the past was used and loved by someone else in a different time and place. This means that it’s worn in all the right places, with a patina that makes it charming and covetable. There might be a few chips, marks, or other imperfections. We will never feature a product that is past its prime.
A Note On Sustainability
Have you ever received a package and it’s filled with styrofoam peanuts or massive amounts of bubble wrap? We have and are acutely aware of the havoc and devastation that plastic and general waste is having on the planet. We also know that most garbage, often home goods, is sitting in landfills. This is always at the forefront of our minds. When we ship you your new purchase, we will do our best to use repurposed, bio-degradable packing material. Did you know that cardboard is excellent for the compost bin and for suppressing weeds in the garden before you plant your flowers or vegetables? If an object is extremely fragile, we will use secondhand bubble wrap or other means to make sure it arrives safely to you.
