ROSE & IVY Wander, Puerto Rico

Produced in Collaboration with Discover Puerto Rico

Often it’s not just about where we travel but how we travel. Immersing ourselves in the way of life, wherever we go, opens our minds, our hearts, and can leave us forever changed. Puerto Rico is one such place, not only is the island studded with clear blue waters and crescent beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see, it’s a destination that is vibrating with resilience and pride. When Hurricane Maria left mass devastation in 2017, the community banded together to rebuild and today, when speaking with locals, you can’t help but be inspired by what they had to overcome.

In this edition of ROSE & IVY Wander, we explore the ecotourism side of Puerto Rico. We venture to the western part of the island and delve deeper into initiatives that are earth-centric from a cacao and pitahaya farm—both spearheaded by intrepid women—artisanal cheeses, and a bed & breakfast on a mission to inspire others to be sustainable. We also explore the diverse landscapes like salt flats, crystal clear beaches, to bioluminescent bays.
