I feel most connected to nature when

I take my early morning walks around my neighborhood. I’m far away from the city where I can hear the birds chirping, the trees swaying, and the squirrels scurrying. Meditating outside also helps me connect with nature and calms my mind before I start my day.

My favorite natural landmark

well, there’s so many I have yet to see, but the Grand Canyon is pretty epic. I’m just so in awe because it’s a natural wonder, like how did that happen naturally? It’s absolutely fascinating.

My hopes for a greener future

will only happen if we work together as a community. I can make adjustments in my life, but if we want significant changes, then we all have to contribute.

I feel most connected to nature when

the ocean waves crash over my feet that are buried in the sand as the sweet smell of the salty ocean breeze wafts past me.

My favorite natural landmark

Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. Growing up my family used to take seasonal trips up to Yosemite to be surrounded by its beauty and magnificence.

My hopes for a greener future

that people make more conscious and sustainable purchases and eat less animal by-products.

I feel most connected to nature when

I’m outside in it, particularly at the beach. There’s something about the sound of the ocean, the smell, the feeling of the sand beneath you, and the positive ions that just makes me feel so relaxed and connected.

My favorite natural landmark

is Muir Woods. My boyfriend surprised me with a trip there for my birthday and it was unbelievably gorgeous. It was so amazing to think that these trees have been there for hundreds of years. There was such a peacefulness about the woods and I just loved every minute there.

My hopes for a greener future

is that we all start to realize that we need less, and that we use the things we have more fully to their potential.

I feel most connected to nature when

I'm watering my plants. It's the simple things that remind us to take a moment to breathe in our busy lives. There's something about watching and anticipating them to grow that puts into perspective the beauty and the time it takes for nature to replenish. This is why preserving our environment is so crucial.

My favorite natural landmark

is the Jiuzhai Valley in the Sichuan Province of China, I took a trip with my mom there a few years back. It was it was the first time I saw snow and it just felt so peaceful and unreal.

My Hopes for a greener future

is for everyone to take the initiative to educate their families. I think we can all do our part by making a difference at home first.
