A Sustainable Approach to Sunglasses

ROSE & IVY Sustainable Approach to Sunglasses Feroce Revive

In our efforts to focus on sustainability wherever possible, we are excited to share brands who have a mission to reduce, reuse and recycle to lesson their environmental impact.

Did you know that an astounding amount of sunglasses—roughly 4 million pairs—are sitting in landfills across America? Unfortunately, acetate frames, which most sunglasses are made, cannot be recycled and further, only 7% of sunglasses donated to charity are good enough to be worn by someone new. The brand Féroce has taken notice of this static with the creation of their Revive program, which allows you to sell back your frames for a new pair. They will then take your old sunglasses and give them a refresh and resell them on their website. This initiative will ultimately cut back on waste but not on style.
