Iceland's Secret Lagoon

Kvíamýrarkambur Glacier is indescribable.  Located off the Road Road in Southern Iceland and away from the tourist bus route, this turnoff might have been missed, if I had not spotted a small sign.  Iceland's is mostly powered through tourism, but if you go there seeking peace, solitude and nature without all of the people, this is one place that we found it - there wasn't even a bird in our presence.  We hiked around the glacial lake slowly etching our way to the blue ice formation that dipped into the water.  The color and the reflections on the water still give me the goose bumps and reflecting back, I have to ask myself: did I actually get to see this? Snowcapped mountains, a glacier, volcanic land covered by fuzzy green moss and so much more.
