When In Paris | Dine at La Fontaine de Belleville
Paris is by no means short of charming cafés. One of my favorite parts about the café culture in the city is that you can literally linger for hours and no one will bother you. You can write, read, gaze, daydream - all is welcomed. Flashing back to a very hot summer day in Paris, I ducked into La Fountaine de Belleville, particualy for a carafe of freezing cold water. Jazz played in the background, Parisians sauntered by waving fans and despite the heat, life felt amazing. Not only does this café serve a delicious espresso, but the sandwiches are also worth noting - like the 'salade' option tucked into a chewy baguette with creamy brie.
