Summer Idea | Drying Rose Petals
It is wonderful rose season around New York. I am incredibly lucky living in the city to have a beautiful English garden roses flourishing in my outdoor space. While it makes me very sad to see them fade, I decided that I am always on the lookout for organic roses to garnish various baked goods, so I decided to harvest and air-dry them for later use. It is very easy, you gather them, lay them on a plate or baking pan and let them slowly dry. Once they are completed dried out, place them in an air tight container.
Ideas: Garnish a cake, cookies or salad with these beautifully dried petals
