Floating Magnolias | A Photo Series

It is the wonderful time of year again when I cannot go outside without smiling.  After a long, long winter, spring is here! It is my favorite and more fleeting season, so it means spending as much time outside as possible, even if a laptop is on my lap.  One thing is for sure, I have been on magnolia watch for the past week or so. I decided to hop over to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden to take in the Star Magnolia's on a recent sunny day.  They were simply perfection. 

As a self-taught photographer I had to learn the 'rules' before I could break them, if you will.  These are a more artistic interpretation of these dreamy blooms.  While my photography is always creative, I try to keep a certain aesthetic, especially when it comes to the Journal, but here I tend to just play around and have fun.  I hope you enjoy this series titled 'Floating Magnolias'.  Enjoy!
