This September marks a very, very important personal date - I will have paid off one of my student loans. Yes, ten years out of college and I am still knee deep, but the worst one is done! I said I was going to do something crazy when it happened - jump out of a plane, hand glide, anything to evoke this freedom. It is a huge deal because my payments were more than my NYC rent. Instead of doing something so crazy, after all I am deathly scared of falling from heights, I am going to my favorite place on earth, Paris. It will be a few days to just enjoy the city like I did when I lived there. Plus, September is the best month to go. When I visit, I would like to stay at Hôtel Providence, which is located near the Canal Saint Martin. When I lived there it was a pretty raw place, but now it is the place to be. It is a boutique hotel with 18 rooms that is design perfection from botanical wallpaper to dark, saturated walls. If you are planning a trip to Paris, definitely book a stay here!
