From the Journal | Middleton Place, Charleston

I have been eagerly waiting to share these extra photographs from Middleton Place in Charleston, as featured in, 'Low Country High' in Issue No. 05.  When I visited for the latest issue, I was totally overwhelmed by its beauty.  The camellia's were in full bloom, the air was fresh and salty.  The grounds were so green and impeccably manicured.  Living in Charleston for years, I beat myself up that I never went here during my college years.  It is a slice of heaven, that is reminiscent of a formal European garden that you would find in France or Italy.  The still water and swaying Spanish moss create for the perfect photographic backdrop.  If you are heading to Charleston, make sure that you carve out a few hours for the gardens, they are a piece of true American beauty.
