Spring Awakening | Forsythia
The first signs of spring usually are the crocuses and the forsythia, but this year, everything is blooming at once. Typically, forsythia are like bursts of sunshine in a earth that is still trying to wake up from the winter. Their four tiny petals appear before their leaves bloom. During the golden hour recently, this bush was just glowing.
Interesting Fact | Forsythia flowers are thought to produce lactose, also known as milk sugar. The tree got its name after William Forsyth, who was a royal gardener and founded the Royal Horticultural Society.
