Petal by Petal | Cosmos, 'Cosmos bipinnatus'
When I think of cosmos, I think of towering flowers with vibrant green stalks with whispy leaves. Last year while visiting a farm Upstate, I was able to get lost in the field where these beautiful flowers called home. Cosmos, a member of the sunflower family, are a perennial plant that that can reach over six feet high. They have a subtle herbaceous odor and look like wildflowers when put into an arrangement. While I do not think a trip to the farm is in the future, I was lucky to snap some up at the farmer's market. Aren't they just beautiful?
