From the Journal | Tea with Mariage Frères

Last summer when I began conceptualizing  and dreaming of what ROSE & IVY Journal could be, there were a few things that I had in mind.  First, the content even though it would launch in a specific season would be seasonless, meaning, that if you were to look through any of the issues it wouldn't put you into a certain month or time period.  Secondly, I never want to tell you how to live, something that I think too many magazines do these days;  rather, I want to inspire you to live a beautiful life by relishing in the little details that account for the whole.

The tea setting in the Winter issue is an example of this, while I incorporated warm and cozy textures, this could very well be a spring table setting - perfect for Easter!  I love discovering brands and companies with a long legacy.  Mariage Frères is one of those companies.  I first discovered this Parisian tea brand while studying in Paris and while I always opt for expresso over tea, occasionally a warm cup of tea is the only thing that will do.  To learn more about this storied tea brand, read the 'Winter Tea' feature in the latest issue of ROSE & IVY Journal.

On another note, one of my favorite destinations for inexpensive home accessories is H&M Home, many of the items included in this feature were picked up from there.  If you are in New York, check out their flagship store on 48th Street, it is quite fantastic.
