Petal by Petal | 'Constance' Garden Rose

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  What a luxury the 4-day weekend was that called for a little bit of work, relaxing and cooking of course! There are a few series that I am excited to carry over from my previous site, Heart of Gold, the first one being Petal by Petal. I simply love flowers, both buying them and photographing them too much to leave this series behind.  I can think of no better way to begin this series on Rose & Ivy than with a garden rose known as 'Constance', isn't she a romantic beauty? For those of you that might now be familiar with this series, every week I frequent the flower market here in New York, otherwise known as a slice of heaven in this crazy and hectic city. I love discovering new flowers and introducing both known and unknown varieties here.  Read on to discover more about this rose that would be perfect in a wedding bouquet or placed inside of an antique vessel.
